Hello January

I've said goodbye to December now.  I took down the decorations as the three year old rehung them when I turned my back, loudly declaring "Christmas is not over!" She'll get there.

Once I started hanging these and these in celebration of January she was on board. She must take after her mother.  I hate taking down Christmas, so this year I decided to start collecting and decorating for January to feel the void.  It might take a few years to collect enough but I am loving this idea.

Overall I'm feeling pretty good.  I am ahead of schedule compared to last year.  In the Sorenson household January can be a pretty great month.  With a wedding anniversary to celebrate and the bittersweet birthday rememberance/celebration of my Mom.  Plus a few ambitious resolutions thrown in there.

For now I am going to enjoy a cup of mulled spice apple cider, while listening to my new winter playlist and excitedly anticipate what the year 2011 will bring to the Sorensons. Welcome January, come in and stay for a few weeks.

Brynn,

Happy New Year! I am always asking Ben about you at work since I feel like our TV (some may say guilty habits, but I'll just go with...) choices are so similar. He often tells me to go to your blog, and so I've become a follower. I've just written my very first post and hope to keep this up at a somewhat frequent pace. Although, it is busy season... And so until we are able to watch, rewind and re-watch Travis Wall choreography together, we can be friends through here.

I hope that you and your family have a fabulous 2011!

Oh I love the new little snowflake decorations! That's fun! Darling picture of Neve! I had to buy some Valentines decorations to fill the void this year too!
