Behind the Times

School has been out for about a month here and I am already purchasing items for the upcoming school year.  Does anyone else find it insane that the marketing for each calendar event starts earlier and earlier every year.   By the end of August if I don't have the children's Halloween costumes, I break out in hives. P.S.  Halloween costumes are already out in some stores.  Really?  It makes me feel constantly behind.  I feel like I already need to start shopping for Christmas.

In the meantime I have to remind myself that it is only July and there are still six weeks until school starts. I am definitely enjoying summer and am not ready to give the children up. So I am really hating the reminders in every store that it will end before I know it.

That being said when we were out and about I found this little gem and it did get me excited for the new school year, because it is so fantastic.  I can't wait to put these in Dane's lunchbox in September. He is going to LOVE it! They even have holiday appropriate ones, so you can buy Christmas and even Valentines themed cards now before the stores market and stock them by next week!

I can't believe you don't start for 6 weeks. We start in less than 2! Aug. 8th is the end of summer. That is only 2 months for the kids. I am not looking forward to losing them either. I love the idea. My kids will love that!
